The Blackhawks think they will be at full strength when the NHL playoffs start next week.

But tonight, the defending Stanley Cup champions were without goaltender Corey Crawford and forwards Artem Anisimov, Marian Hossa and Andrew Shaw for a 2-1 overtime loss to the Blues on Thursday.

Crawford, Anisimov and Shaw sat out with upper-body injuries, and Hossa is making his way back from a lower-body injury. Crawford and Hossa participated in Chicago's morning skate, and it looks as if Crawford will return for Saturday's season finale at Columbus for his first game since a loss to the Kings on March 14.

If the Red Wings extend their playoff streak to 25 seasons, this might be the game that did it. Behind a strong performance from Jimmy Howard, who had a shutout and an assist, the Red Wings beat the Flyers 3-0 on Wednesday night.

All Detroit has to do is beat the Bruins on Thursday night in Boston and the Red Wings are back in the playoffs.

Aleksander Barkov got his 28th goal 10 seconds in and Roberto Luongo made 32 saves to help the Panthers beat the Canadiens 4-1 on Tuesday night for their fourth straight win.

With Tampa Bay's loss to the New York Rangers, the Panthers clinched the Atlantic Division title.

The Blackhawks' Patrick Kane had a hat trick and an assist Sunday in Chicago's 6-4 victory against the Bruins, giving him 100 points this season.

He is the first player to reach the 100-point mark this season. The Stars' Jamie Benn is second on the points list with 88.
